My
email address has changed, how do I update my the account?
It is a two
steps operation involving updating the default information of the account
and also updating the contact handles for your existing domains.
First, you
will need to update your email address in the default information for your
account. The default information will apply on future domain
registrations.
To do this, log in the Domain Management
Control
Panel
by clicking on the
"MEMBER Login" link on the menu bar in
the top left-hand menu of our Home
Page. Input your
username and password to log on to our secure server. If you can't

modifications will not update any previously registered domain names.
The following will explain how to modify information on previously
registered domains.
Next,
you need to modify the contact handles associated
with any domain that you have in your account. This is important as we
use the email address from the administrative contact handle to send
renewal notices when your domain is about to expire. By not having a current and valid email
address puts you at risk of losing your domain if and when it expires.
Updating
the
administrative, billing and technical contact handles can be
accomplished via the Management Control Panel.
To begin, click the MEMBER login link on
the left-hand side of our website at www.UnicDomains.com.
Enter your username and password. If you can't remember your
username and/or password, please go to the "I
can't remember my username and/or password, can you send it to me?"
questions below.
Once logged in the Management Control Panel, click the "Edit/ Manage
Contact Handles" link. A contact handle is a shorthand version of
all of your contact information. You can edit any of your contact
handles here (click the "Edit" button next to the handle), or
create new ones (click the "Create New Handle" link at the top
of the page). If you do
not have any handle associated with your domain or domains, you need to
create one. Once you
have the contact handle information the way you want it, return to the
main screen of the Manager.
Next, click the "Assign Domain Contacts" link. A list of your
domains, as well as the current IYD contact handle associated with the
domains, will show. Choose the domain you'd like to change information
for, and click the Continue button.
Choose what information you'd like to update: admin, billing and/or
technical, and click the Continue button. You may choose any of the IYD
contact handles you have set up in our system.
Click the Continue button to finalize the change. Our system will update
immediately, however, it will take 24-48 hours for the information to
propagate Internet-wide.

How
can I make changes to the registrant info.?
Some people wish to update their address that has changed, or the
company name, which has been bought out. Others want to remove their
ownership information for security purposes.
Changing the registrant information requires a higher level of security,
since it affects the ownership of a domain. You should also be aware
that it may affect your ownership adversely. For example, should someone
file a WIPO claim to this domain, one of the ways ICANN will resolve the
dispute is to immediately terminate a disputed domain if the information
provided is known to be false.
Should you wish to go ahead with a change of ownership or simply make
some minor changes to the ownership information such as a spelling mistake of
an address change, then follow these steps:
Click on the Ownership Change button in the
Management Control Panel. You will supplied with a choice of questions. Make sure to remember your
choice and answer as this will used from now on as an additional security step
in order to do any additional Ownership change or should you wish to modify
the registrar lock setting. Then on the next page, click on Ownership Change again and check the domain(s) for which you want to
modify information and finally click on the change button at the bottom of the page. Please note that all fields are required except Company and Fax. Please enter a valid email address in the email field.
This is how we can communicate with you important information such as when
your domain is about to expire. Not putting any email or an invalid email puts you at risk of losing your domain.
Using the Ownership Change service is now free of
charge.
How
can I sell my domain to someone else or change ownership?
Use the Ownership Change link
in the Domain Management Control Panel to
change the registrant info. for your domain to show the new owner's
information. You will then be given the choice to push the domain to another
existing account at UnicDomains.com or open a new account in the new owner's
name and then push the domain in that account. There is no charge for this new
service.
What
is a DNS?
DNS (Domain Name System) is a system that translates a domain name from
letters (NS1.UNICDOMAINS.COM) into a numerical IP address (64.94.117.195).
Each time you register a domain name you must specify your DNS
information. If you register a domain name through UnicDomains.com,
you can use our DNS information free of charge! This is known in the
industry as "parking" a domain. Parking is free using UnicDomains.com's
default servers. You can also change the DNS information at any time, also free
of charge, but be aware, your new DNS host may charge you a parking
fee...

Why
would I need to change my DNS information?
If you have a new web site or email account, your web hosting
company or ISP will ask you to change
your DNS information (typically,
they would become the new DNS host) so that your domain name can be
connected to your web site and your email account can be set-up.

is registration lock?

edit or renew a lock or locks in your account.

username and/or password, enter the email address on record
for your account in the "Forget your

username and password will be mailed to that address.

email you entered is not recognized", this means that the email address
in your account at UnicDomains.com does not match the email you have
entered in the forget your password box. In this case, please send us an email
